Brazilian Brigadeiros

Brazil has a long list of wonderful, sweet treats, and of course our Brazilian delegation prepared some for us. Mie from the staff was overjoyed, as the Brazilians made her favorite treat in the whole wide world; Brigadeiros!

We have to share this delicious culinary experience with you, so we have found a recipe online for you to try at home! Get your cooking equipment ready, go to this website, and please let us know how it went!

What we did on Friday

Tomato soup bonanza

We sometimes serve tomato soup for lunch, and the kids LOVE it! Tomato soup is a classic dish in CISV Norway's programs, we eat it at pre camps, mini camps, summer camps, youth meetings, villages, seminar camps, you get the picture.

CISV Norway <3 tomato soup!

Diary

Hi everyone! We would like to announce a new feature here on our blog: the Diary Page! On the top of the blog page, right next to "About the Village Program", you will find a new tab labeled "diary", and this is where we will post the diary entries made by each delegation of the day, in chronological order. We will also post the entries here on the main blog, but as the diary entries are not always handed in on time, they won't always be posted here in the right order.

Click on the Diary tab and have a look!

Brazil's National Night

Last night the Brazilians had invited us all for their National Night in the Big Theater. They held a contest where the delegations had to answer multiple choice questions about Brazil, and Norway won a big bag of candy!

The Brazilians also showed us a traditional dance, as well as some carnival samba(?)! After the show, we all gathered on stage and partied it up with confetti and serpentines and Brazilian rhythms. Brazil, we loved your night!!

Here are a few clips from the dance. Enjoy!

The US delegation

Here's a beautiful picture of the US delegation, from the day when they were delegation of the day. Here is our breakfast on that day - bread with ham, jam, salami, fish, and chocolate spread! Yum!
The delegation of the day get to choose which table gets served first, second, third, fourth and so on, and it is a pretty important job! Thanks for a job well done, USA!

Here is the diary entry the delegation wrote afterwards:
